CHAO, Yu-Ling is a Professor at the Drama Department, National Taiwan University of Arts. She holds a PhD in Dance Studies from Laban Centre, London (LCL). Dr. Chao is a committee member of the Dance Research Society, Taiwan and the author of Text, Analysis and Interpretation – A Preliminary Proposal on Dance Studies (2015), Sociology of Dance - An Introduction to the Theories and Practices (2008). Also, she is a co-author of Appreciating Dance (1999), Dance Studies and Taiwan: The Prospect of a New Generation (2001), Lin Hwai-min International Dance Conference Proceedings (2005), Pina Bausch (2007), Fifty Contemporary Choreographers (2011).
