Tsung-Hsin 'Joda' Lee(李宗興)

Tsung-Hsin ‘Joda’ Lee is a PhD candidate in Dance Studies at Ohio State University. He holds an M.A. in dance criticism and cultural studies from Taipei National University of the Arts, Taiwan. His research interests focus on global dance circulation. His dissertation focuses on American modern dance companies’ State-sponsored tours to Asia during 1950-1980, to examine the United States’ Cold War diplomacy from the local perspective. He second project focuses on postcolonial strategies in performing arts. He aims to reinterpret Western theories through his East Asian subjectivity/body to develop postcolonial perspectives regarding marginalized performances on the global stage.
